Your Moon

Find your moon sign

The Moon stays a little over two days in each sign: your date is often enough. If it changed sign on the day you were born, we give you the exact time of the change.

Calculated with NASA data, accurate to a thousandth of a degree.

How we calculate it

We calculate the Moon's position at the time and place of your birth. Without a time, we follow it across the whole day: if it changes sign, we find the exact minute of the change, in your birthplace's time zone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find my moon sign?

Your birth date and place are usually enough. If the Moon changes sign that day, you need your birth time to settle it, and we tell you the minute it changes.

Do I need my birth time?

Not always. The Moon stays a little over two days in a sign: most days, it doesn't change.

How is it different from my zodiac sign?

Your sign is where the Sun was: what drives you. Your Moon is what you need to feel okay. Both are in your full chart, with your rising sign.
