Your houses

Calculate your astrological houses

Enter your birth date, time and city: you see where your twelve houses start. If your time is approximate, we tell you the minute one of them changes sign.

Calculated with NASA data, accurate to a thousandth of a degree.

How we calculate it

Your local time is converted to universal time (the world reference time) using the historical time zone of your birthplace. The sky is then divided into twelve houses with the Placidus system, the most common one. If your time is approximate, we redo the calculation across the whole window and find the minute each house start changes sign.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my astrological houses?

You need your birth date, time and place. The time counts to the minute: the houses move one sign roughly every two hours.

Which house system is used?

Placidus, the most common one. In your birth chart, at the Expert level, you can pick another among ten, including whole sign and equal houses.

What if I don't know my birth time?

Without a time, there are no houses: they depend on the minute you were born. With an approximate time, we tell you which houses change sign, and at what minute.
