Questions about the birth chart

What do I need to calculate my birth chart?

Your date of birth, your birthplace, and your birth time if you know it. The place gives the time zone in force back then: local time is converted to Universal Time, and the conversion is shown so you can check it.

What if I don't know my birth time?

The planets stay accurate: they move little in a day, except the Moon. Without a time, the chart is calculated for noon, with no Ascendant or houses. With an approximate time, it tells you whether the Ascendant or the Moon could change sign, and which planets change house: nothing is claimed beyond what the time allows.

How precise is the calculation?

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris, computed from NASA JPL ephemerides, and a second, independent calculation checks them: the gap stays under a hundredth of a degree.

Which house system is used?

Placidus by default, the most widespread. In the chart settings you can switch to whole signs, Koch, equal houses and six other systems, or to the sidereal zodiac: the wheel is recalculated right away.

Is it really free?

Yes, entirely: the chart, its wheel, its aspects and its dignities need no payment and no account. Without an account, your birth data stays on your device; with one, free as well, it follows you everywhere.
