Thierry

Origin

From the Germanic Theoderic, derived from *Þeudarīks ("king of the nation"). "Thierry" evokes the Germans, whose warriors claimed supreme power over other nations. This first name was very widespread from the 5th-6th centuries onward, most often in the primitive form "Théodoric," which was preserved for a long time east of the Rhine and gave rise to the German first name "Dietrich" and its variants "Derek" and "Derrik." The French version "Thierry" established itself fairly quickly in Clovis's Frankish kingdom and in its dependencies or conquests. It remained in use among the aristocracy until the 14th century, but then disappeared, only to reappear in the 19th century, in the era of the Romantics. It nevertheless remained fairly little used until, starting in the 1940s, it experienced an impressive wave of favor that kept it on the list of top male first names for more than ten years, from 1959 to 1971. It occupied first place for two years, at the time when the television series Thierry la Fronde was captivating the whole of France.

The meaning of the numbers comes from numerological tradition; it isn't a measure of your personality. A full portrait needs your first and middle names, your last name at birth, and your date of birth. How we calculate

Your name and theirs

The number of each name, and the number of the bond, which comes from adding them together. A symbolic game: what your two names say together, to be read as a metaphor, not as a verdict on your relationship.
