Male name

Gonzalo

11,010 births (United States, 1880–2025), peaking in 2000. Expression number: 9.

Origin

Of Germanic origin, possibly derived from Old High German gund, from Proto-Germanic *gunþiz (battle, fight, combat); its second element could derive from Proto-Germanic *sal (in Old High German salo; dark, colored, dyed, tinted), *salbō (balm, ointment)[citation needed], *albiz (elf, genie)[citation needed] or *saiwalō (root of Gothic 𐍃𐌰𐌹𐍅𐌰𐌻𐍉, romanized saiwalo, singular "saiwala"; possibly meaning soul). Other sources associate its origin with Gothic 𐌲𐌿𐌽𐌸 (romanized gunþ, gunth; Proto-Germanic *gundiz) and possibly takes from Latin the element salvus (safe, sound, unharmed), although regarding this latter it could be a false cognate resulting from its Latinization. It gradually evolved into Gundisalvo, Gonzalvo and finally Gonzalo.

The meaning of the numbers comes from numerological tradition; it isn't a measure of your personality. A full portrait needs your first and middle names, your last name at birth, and your date of birth. How we calculate

Your name and theirs

The number of each name, and the number of the bond, which comes from adding them together. A symbolic game: what your two names say together, to be read as a metaphor, not as a verdict on your relationship.
